Dr. Fan, the founder of High Five Education, has great passion for teaching and education. From growing up in a rural village to a scientist working on the most cutting-edge research, education has tranformed his life. He is always enthusiastic about teaching and inspiring the next generation of students. Since the founding of High Five Education, Dr. Fan has helped over 100 students from Ivy League colleges, elite private and public high schools achieve their academic goals.

Dr. Fan obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering, conducted research at a prestigious national lab, and worked as a professor at a university. Through more than a decade’s experience in university and research institutions, he taught and mentored hundreds of students, and helped them to succeed academically. Dr. Fan was also a productive researcher. As the principal investigator, he led research projects funded by U.S. National Science Foundation, multinational company, and universities. He published more than 30 journal papers and a book chapter cited over 1700 times.
